Yes, That Was Me Banging My Head Against the Wall

Tell me why ‘Someone’ would feel the need to call me into the middle of this dispute?
‘Someone’: Can you come here a second and help resolve this problem?
Me: Sure
‘Someone”: I am of the opinion that The Prince’s pants are wet and that he should not be sitting on the sofa with them on.
The Prince: They are only just a little bit wet.
Me: (Walks off stage with a dose of the evil eye)
Why I was really called into this? Seriously? So that I would be the bad guy who yells, threatens to ground and gets told “I hate you” instead of that ‘Someone’ having to hear it all?
On a side note, The Prince is still on the sofa. In his pants.
A free General Mills box of cereal coupon to the first person that guesses who that “Someone” is.

Hmmm…hubby? Perhaps? Because that sounds exactly like something mine would do

I would say hubby too. In our house we had a huge discussion on Saturday night. My teenager was wanting us parents to do “suicide by cop” and get him out of a situation he was in. As hard as he tried we didn’t rise to his screaming and yelling. We each just walked away.
Boy, it was more fun than screaming, yelling and punishing him.

Well, I’m not the first to get it right….but somehow I just knew while reading it that it must be your husband.
All day today I have felt the need for stress relief….it had been bad enough that I might just give your picture there a try! OUCH!

yeah, why is it that men can never do anything for themselves – my hubs certainly can’t. He even needs me to help him wake up every day. The man can’t do anything for himself.

Head banging is a known stress reliever since you ultimately forget why you’re banging your head against the wall.

Haven’t chatted w. you in a while, hope you’re well and all’s well on the homefront. Minus the wet pants!

I can’t imagine who that certain “someone” might be? Couldn’t by chance be Hubs? No way, cause Hubs are the ones who take care of all the discipline issues and teach the children how to behave. In Leave it to Beaver World.
Yeah, I am in for much of the same. I know I am gonna have to be the bad guy not to mention the one that makes sure tht eating and sleeping and bathing and getting to school and everything else that goes into raising a child occurs. And then he’ll be the “fun” parent. No fair!

Mine loves to play the good guy. He’s the one that buys them sweets when I have said no. He’s the one who turns on the television on a school night when it’s against the rules. He actually says “I won’t tell mummy” when they are naughty.
