Have you ever gone back to your archives and read through some of your earlier posts? I was prompted to do this very thing when a reader commented on an older post of mine. (Thank you, Magda)
Now, my earlier posts aren’t really all that old. I didn’t start this blog until Mid-July, but there are some that I am pretty proud of and some that gave me a good smile. And I thought I would share some of them with you, since I had about 5 followers when most of these were written.
Here they are for your reading pleasure:
- Before the Blog: On how proud I am of my son.
- I Have a Complaint: On escaping the insanity only to have the insanity follow you via cell phone.
- Weekend Lessons: Murhpy’s Law prevails.
Now here’s something for you! Head back to your archives, find one of your favorite old posts and share them with me here in your comments. I’d love to read them!

I love them all!!! What a great idea!
You are so talented, funny, and honest.. my mornings wouldn’t be the same without you. Soooo glad we met!
If you want, here’s a couple funny ones from my archives.

and also,

They’re kinda hard to read with the new background, but…
p.s. There is an award for you on my blog. ; )

I loved these posts of yours! And thank you so much for the award. It really does mean a lot to me!

Congrats on the award! Michele has very good taste! I’m too new to have anything “vintage” but I do have a few that feel like very special children to me…..
The Greatest Day Ever! http://theycallmejane.wordpress.com/2009/10/03/honoring-the-simple-things/ – yes, this really did happen and the dialogue is verbatim. I wrote it down as soon as I could in their baby books.
News Flash! Average is Beautiful. Then Why Am I Having A Fat Day? http://theycallmejane.wordpress.com/2009/08/29/news-flash-average-is-beautiful-then-why-am-i-having-a-fat-day/
Enjoy! And thanks for letting me share!

Loved your posts! The one about your children in the tub really made me smile. I bet you wanted to hug and squeeze them once you heard their conversation!

As for mine, I had to go back and search a bit, ’cause man, I like to “talk!”

Thanks for posting these! I couldn’t agree more with you on the paper robes at the doctors office. Ever try sliding up on the table while you wait…and hear that thing rip? Ugh. Hate that. Love your story on it.

Thank you. I despise housework, too, as you already know. Does your dog attack the roomba? I have two dogs that could easily dismember one.

I don’t have one, but I was watching “Flipping Out” on Bravo and Jeff Lewis had one. They got rid of it because the dog was attacking it.
Have you seen that show? It’s filled with lovely sarcasm and pretty funny. Watch it sometime and let me know what you think.

Thank you! I thought it was precious. I tell you what, he would have been fine with the world coming to an end as long as he had that green paci. I don’t really know what happened… he suddenly started preferring his fingers and just lost interest in the once beloved paci.

What a nice idea this is! You do a beautiful job of creating community on your blog. I loved Before the Blog–My daughter was an early reader and called out “Feed-Ex!” one day when the FedEx truck went by. I think it will be “Feed-Ex” in our house forever!
I’ve been blogging since January, but don’t have a big readership. (I don’t think my mom’s friends count!) Here are two of my favorite posts:
On getting the family to church on time:
