Ten Year Old T&A
I say 10, but he still has one more day of being my single digit, 9 year old baby. On January 2nd he will be turning one complete decade old.
Where did the time go?
Perhaps the final 9 year old ‘I could eat him up’ moment is from a conversation we had about an hour ago:
Today my son went sledding down our driveway. He fell off the sled, laid there, and announced “I’m okay! I just hurt my BUT-tocks”. Accent on the BUT, if you will.
Eight hours later we hear someone in a movie say the exact same thing. I laughed and reminded my son how he said those same words earlier in the day.
He says “No, mom. What I said was “I’m okay. I just hurt my bosoms”.
Me: “Um, baby? Only girls have bosoms”, while I pointed to my own.
Silence.
Massive giggles and a red face: “Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yea, I said BUT-tocks”.
Love that boy.

Too funny! My 6 year-old son recently started getting all embarrassed when it comes to girls, so he would have run and hid in his room over that “bosom” business. Happy birthday to your son and Happy New Year to you all!

It’s much more fun and sweet when they don’t know the difference. Once they get a little older, the perspective on those body parts shifts toward obsession (and they definitely know the difference).

Too funny! My oldest Punk is also 9- he asked me why our 3 year old dint have boobs, was she broken, and how come mine are so much smaller than my sisters (who is nursing!)- all in the SAME DAY!!! It was a rough one!
