These are more thoughts and vents that really wouldn't make much of a post on their own.....

These are thoughts that I collect because they really don’t warrant an entire post on their own:

If you say you’re dropping your child off at my home at 2:30/2:45, kindly call me at the point you realize you won’t be here until 3:30. I have a life too ya know and my sole purpose of existance is NOT to wait for your arrival.

Jon Gosselin just becomes more and more of an ass as each day passes. If you haven’t seen the Inside Edition interview he did, watch it. And try not to throw rocks at your screen.

I feel badly about the fight I had with my dad a few weeks ago. We didn’t talk for two weeks. However he showed up at my son’s football game the other night and I’m so glad things are back to normal again.

Does anyone really fall for the emails from “Don Juan”, “Craig Parker” or “Mohammed Obinu” stating you are the possible next of kin and have $900,000 coming your way? I’ll admit, I almost fell for the one from the “IRS” saying I hadn’t claimed my tax refund. But then I realized the “IRS” probably wouldn’t be sending me mail from irs@thehotmail.com

PMS beat the life out of me this month. This is what I get for not sticking to my no caffeine/chocolate rule. I apologize to those in my life who were run over by my hormonal mouth the past few days. A special shout out to the A&P cashier who’s head I bit off when he didn’t help me pack my groceries.

Have a great Saturday! And Happy Thanksgiving to our neighboring Canadians!

I know I am pms'ing and very honestly I feel on the semi-vile side of life. It seems that if something is bothering me during PMS, it consumes me. And the topic that consumes me this month is the recession.

My day off yesterday didn’t end up the way I had hoped and this morning I woke up so far on the wrong side of the bed, that I should completely be in another time zone. I know I am pms’ing and very honestly I feel on the semi-vile side of life. It seems that if something is bothering me during PMS, it consumes me. And the topic that consumes me this month is the recession.

I walked into Kohls to pick something up for my son and the nicest older gentleman held the door open for me and welcomed me into the store. He’s an employee of Kohl’s and he was just the cheeriest man. I am thinking that he is probably somewhere in his late 60′s/early 70′s. I walked into that store with a big smile, just because it was so nice to see someone so full of life. And HAPPY!

And then I walked around and I thought about it. This economy really sucks. Everyone is effected by it in some way. Your present life, the quality of your life in the future.

This gentleman should be retired and enjoying life. He should not have to work. He could have been my dad. And I would want my dad to be able to retire and enjoy life. I would want my dad to not have to worry about having enough money to live. He worked hard his entire life. He did everything he was supposed to do. Save, invest, spend wisely. And the economy went so incredibly wrong for my dad and his peers.

Now of course I made up this gentleman’s life story. He could be working because he wants to. Right? He really was so happy and smiley. It could absolutely be his choice to work.

One of my clients is closing his doors on a business that has been around for 3 generations. A business that was thriving up until 3 years ago when sales started dropping. With the fall of the market this past year, their reserve funds depleted immensely and so did the outlook for the company’s future. There went advertising money and any form of cushioning. The owner of the company is in his late 40′s and in total despair about his future. Who will hire someone his age? Why would someone hire him? How will he survive? He is worried. Very.

I came home I read a few blogs. I see so many posts about how people are hurting right now. Job losses, late mortgage payments. People are broke. Crime rates are up in the news. Suicide rates are up. I’m guessing anti-depressant prescriptions are up.

Enough!

We are so due. Due for a reason to be optimistic and believe that things will turn around. I could easily get into politics here and the whole “Change we can believe in” Obama slogan. I didn’t vote for the man, but I was still hopeful he would bring new energy into our country. This is now where I exit gracefully out of any political discussion.

We need to not feel awful because we are worried about whether or not Santa will actually visit our children this year. We need to be able to sleep without worrying about our jobs being there the next day. A peaceful night’s sleep is not too much to ask for.

To quote ‘Times Online‘:

Responding to a question at an event held by the Brookings Institute, an economics think tank, Mr Bernanke said: “Even though from a technical perspective the recession is very likely over at this point, it’s still going to feel like a very weak economy for some time“.

This recession began in December of 2007. It’s now October 2009. I’m ready for it to be half past “some time“………..

THAT show should be renamed to Jon & Date & Kate Plus 8.

Pageant toddlers are creepy to me.

I can not tolerate stupidity at all. I mailed you your football weight cards twice and sent you 4 emails reminding you to bring them tonight. No, I’m not buying that you didn’t get the two packages and 4 emails I sent you. But at least now I “get” where your son inherited that blank “I don’t understand” look from. Fine family feature. ::: insert eyeroll:::

Snoring should be grounds for divorce. The average snore is is between 60 and 90 decibels. I’m comfortably sure that the snoring going on at this moment is about 120 decibels. The best earplug can only block 33 decibels. Clearly, you can see why divorce is the only option here.

PMS can be brutal sometimes.

Thank you for your time.
