Ready or Not

Winter is anything but long when you get out there and just enjoy it.  We’ve had massive amounts of snow the past two weeks and there is more predicted for tomorrow. 

The stats on my site here show that I’m in minority. My top search related terms are variations of the phrase ‘countdown to summer 2010′  from this post.  They account for 595 hits from search engines since the post went live in August of 2009. These hits have made ‘Summer Countdown’ my most read post. Unfortunately I’m sure all 595 people were disappointed. The post has an image that is stuck on 311 days.  

As of today there are 120 days until summer officially begins on June 21, 2010.

Come to think of it, I’m ready for summer too.  I bought a bathing suit this weekend in anticipation.

    I actually shuddered when I looked at that picture-we have had way too much snow for me to appreciate the beauty of it! I too am looking forward to sunny days but because this also means bathing suit season, I better get off my winter butt!

    Because I live in the desert, I would LOVE to live in the snow (I’m sure there’s people out there that would like to shoot me right now for saying that). I am thinking about swimsuits though – more b/c they’re an inevitability and I need to find one that will help out my saggy boob situation. LOL.

    I need to work on the bathing suit situation too. Mainly cause it will soon be about 1000 degress here and I need to be prepared and try to find a bathing suit that doesn’t make people vomit when they see me in it. Although that would be a cool superpower.

    I busted out my flip flops the other day and wore them around a bit, just to remember what it felt like to have exposed toes….i felt so naked! but in a good way!

    I’m ready for summer. today it’s raining…the first rain we’ve had in weeks…as it’s not been warm enough for liquid….reminds me that first comes spring….then comes summer….

    but even rain sounds do able right now. I’m over snow! winter sports or not….I’m ready to put the snow shovel away for awhile.

    We had a lot of snow this winter, too. Well, a lot for the south. You’d probably laugh if I told you how ecstatic we were over 5.5 inches.
