Out of the Closet x 10
1. My favorite late night snack is Raisin Bran Crunch. A huge bowl of it. Often with a refill.
2. I kinda sorta manipulated my son into wanting a Shih Tzu. Thankfully his best friend has one too, so it wasn’t too “uncool” of a dog. I just really did want a cute fur ball. I could, however, do without my husband comparing me to Paris Hilton.
3. My favorite show is “Say Yes to the Dress” on TLC.
4. I have 24 pairs of black shoes, and this doesn’t include boots or flip-flops. Or sneakers.
5. I didn’t “win” the laptop my son uses from a “Give Away”. I used my super secret stash to buy it last Christmas because it was annoying me that he was constantly using MINE.
6. I carefully and secretly throw out my husband’s tee shirts and shorts when they get too grubby. When he goes looking for one, I suggest that maybe he left it at the gym when he changed for work.
7. I think my son is cuter, smarter, more athletic and more amazing than everyone else’s. But something tells me that every mom thinks this way.
8. My sister and I have almost no relationship. It’s sad, but true. It’s not for lack of trying I’ll have you know.
9. Sometimes I sleep in the guest room downstairs. The snoring can get too unbearable.
10. I often blow off one particular girlfriend of mine. It stresses me out too much to do things alone with her. For one, all she talks about and complains about are her kids. Secondly, she is ALWAYS late for everything. Always. To the point of out right inconsideration. I’ve pigeon holed her into just hanging out as families or large groups of people.
Got any closet items of your own?

Great post!! I also love Say Yes To The Dress, and just today realized that there is a particular friend I no longer care to hang out with. We’re like twins! Lol

I found you from the Mom Bloggers Club – I think that was real gutsy to come out of the closet- bravo to you if it accomplished what you wanted it to do

I’m not all that brave, but…thank you none the less!

I had a friend like that, different but the same. It was so much work to be her friend that it absolutely drove me nuts. She moved to Virginia last year and I was profoundly thankful.
Yes, I do. As you know, I’ve outed my Halloween thoughts today.

I’ve never seen that show. I don’t have any relationship with my brother either. And, I have been known to camp out downstairs when Hubs is too sick and/or snoring.

Hi,
I don’t have a relationship with my older brother but have one with my younger brother. My older brother was born with a brain defect that was categorized as minimal brain dysfunction, which is now called ADD, although my brother’s problems are far more extensive. When I was a child, he used to chase my brother and me around the house. We had to lock ourselves in the bathroom to escape from him. He’s 18 months older than me, so I had to follow him in school. In grade school, kids made fun of me because of my brother. Thankfully, for middle school and most of high school my parents had enrolled him in a special school. Then one day when I was a junior in high school, my parents transferred him from the special school to my high school, placing him in a special ed class. It’s tough getting past all the hurt and anger, especially since my brother only complains whenever I speak to him.
Sorry for the rant. I guess I should write about this more in a journal.

So sorry about your relationship with your older brother. I can’t imagine how hard that was to grow up with.
Rant away

I also throw out my hubby’s stuff when he is out of town. He travels a lot, so when he is gone, I clean out everything!

I also have a dear friend who is ALWAYS late. At least an hour. It’s so, so frustrating and it is all the time. And an extra hour killing time with three small children is a pain, so I find myself not making plans with her like we used to. It’s just so aggravating. How hard is it to get up and ready in time? I would understand once in ahwile, but all the time??? Argh.
I think my children and the best looking, smartest, most clever as well. But I’m sure your son is nice too…
Happy Halloween!

3. My secret addiction to shoes has me on a quest to pay my Mastercard down before December 1, as such I have been bag lunching and taking my own coffee to work since September. My husband just thinks I’m being thrifty.
