kraft mac & Cheese cupThese are things that wouldn’t make much of a post on their own.  I just couldn’t  leave them “unsaid” though….

I love the fact that my son made me dinner. Two hot dogs, a microwave cup of Kraft Mac & Cheese with Double Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream for dessert. Truly. I love it that he did this for me. I ate it all up. (Didn’t have the heart to tell him that each and every one of those foods are foods that I can’t really be eating.)

I have a tough time watching Kourtney & Khloe partying it up in Miami after hearing one of the two of them is pregnant.  Stupidity beyond belief. I’m not one to judge  how you live your life, but low IQ’s are tough to take. Go figure that it was the E channel’s most widely viewed premiere episode, ever.

I think that Americans should follow Europeans in their work schedule.. We work like dogs for a measly 2 or 3 weeks of vacation a year.  The average European gets 6 weeks. Productivity there is not hampered by this much time off.

The way I see it Kate of “Jon & Date & Kate Plus 8″ really has 9 children. Jon should not be considered an adult. Except to Uncle Sam.

The death of Ted Kennedy is especially sad to me. The Kennedy’s were like American Royalty, or as close as we came to it. His death is really the end of that era.

People that wear headsets while on the phone at Dunkin Donuts annoy the life out of me.  Excuse me, bu no one wants to hear your one-sided phone conversation while you speak at full volume to whoever it is. And I have news for you Mr. WannaBe Metrosexual with bad shoes on, the person you are conversing with doesn’t really want to hear you order your extra large Turbo, light and sweet OR your everything bagel with cream cheese. Take that call out to your328 BMW, promptly.

There, I feel better now. Have a great Sunday!

Love your random thoughts! How old is your son? I am afraid to teach mine how to use the mic quite yet! (Ya never know what he might put in there!) I agree about Ted Kennedy. You cracked me up about the cell phone chatters- too funny!
Thank you for your comment on my blog about adoption. I would LOVE to hear your story/chat sometime. That situation is a bit precarious right now (they are waffling) but it is very early so who knows!
    Take care! :)

My son is 9. He’s been cooking for about 2 years now. Makes omlettes (scrambled eggs with “stuff” mixed in). I taught him to use the microwave when he was 5. Reason being, he had taken a plastic jar of toy slime and put it in the microwave. Kept it in there for a minute and when he went to open it, it exploded all over his arm. Needless to say, we had to hit the ER. Third and second degre burns. (One day before leaving for Disney). Ugh.

Instead of telling him to never touch it again, I thought it was better to teach him the right way to use it.

I’ll pop you a note on MBC during the week. It will be fun to share stories.

    Good luck to you!

Ok, I just read your bio that your son is nine- that is more like it! (My guy is 4) Your bio is super interesting, we both did the infertility thing and made something out of the experience(when you are so consumed with something, you just have to do something with it!). Where are you in Jersey? Though we live down South, I am an honorary Jersey-girl b/c my DH is from Toms River, so we are “at the shore” a couple of times a year. Nice “chatting” :)

I need to change my bio. I thought I would be gabbing about my shoe issues when I started this blog, and now it’s the last thing I want to write about.

I’m about an hour and a half from Toms River, though we head down there lot during the summer. (Seeing “DH” brings me back to posting on infertility boards, btw.)

Just went and read your bio. You’re a very talented woman! Total pleasure to “meet you”….

The comment on Jon and Kate made me laugh. And I’m with you on how it is the end of an era with the death of Ted Kennedy. I hear there is already talk of doing something with the Hyannis home. Sad.

Your son sounds sweet! I love being the mother of boys. They are far kinder than my step-daughers are to their parents. I usually chalk it up to the differences between boys and girls.

    Happy late VGNO!

I must confess that I talk in line at the coffee shop. But, then again, I’m sure that I have an E.F. Hutton-like persona, and when I talk, everyone wants to listen. Plus, I don’t have a BMW (unless you count my Big Mormon Wagon?) to take the call in.

    Just sayin’.

This is awesome. I agree with you on every single point.
The tributes to Ted made me sad, watching is family history. With all his faults in his personal life, he spent his life in public service, love him or hate him.

And there are no words for the Khardasians. They are like Paris Hilton-famous for nothing really? It’s awful! And when I flip by on the TV and see them flauting around, I am so, so thankful I am not raising teenage GIRLS! :)

That is the only blessing I can see with the widespread use of texting. The amount of obnoxious personal phone calls out in public has gone down dramatically.
