I am coming to understand that one of the more frustrating things about raising a school aged child, is the homework battle (after battle, after battle). The fights over getting it done, over studying, over bs excuses of why something didn’t get handed in or excuses over why a grade was poor.

I know by the way my son walks up the driveway, if today was a good school day or a lousy school day. And today was a lousy one.

I have come to realize that those women (and occasionally, men) who seem to run every single committee for your local PTA/HSO are frustrated domestics who have finally achieved a power of position in life and choose to run with it. Either that or bossing around their husbands is no longer satisfying.

And I’m really not proud of it at all.

Things aren’t always the way they look to be……
