Because I Need More Sleep

donut-clockSometimes, I just really don’t know where my brain is. I think that it’s like a fuse. When it’s on overload the fuse snaps shut and the power supply is just not there.

Take this one…..

I wake up super early because my son has color war this week at camp. He’d like his hair to be blue  along with some blue face paint. NOOOO problem! Whatever my little prince wants. I put blue lightening bolts on his little cheeks (face, thank you) and spray his hair blue.  I’m super careful and cover his eyes and clothing with a towel.  He checks himself in the mirror.  He’s happy. Off he goes.

I clean up this project only to find I now have a blue outline of his head on the wall behind him.

Or how about this one……

I get a call from camp about 4 hours later that he’s thrown up twice and they feel I should come and get him (no kidding, really?).  I leave from a client’s office and drive directly home. 

Oops.

I missed the step where I go and pick him up.

Heading to bed early, clearly!

    OMG, I had a good laugh at the blue outline on the wall. That sounds just like something that I would do in the morning no matter what amount of sleep that I’ve had. It’s not my best time!
