About Me
I’m a 45 46 47 year old New Jersey mom with one 9 10 11 year old son, a new puppy and a 16 17 18year old marriage.
I started this blog thinking I would post about shoes and clothing and other nonsensical topics, but it ended up with me sharing parts of my life with “you”. And I’m enjoying it greatly!
My career has taken me all over the country. Fresh out of college I worked in New York’s garment center designing women’s apparel. When I married and moved deeper into Suburbia-land, I decided to leave the garment center and focus on starting our family. (No easy feat as we went through many years of fertility treatments).
Not being one to sit still, began an infertility informational site and grew that to one of the largest fertility communities on the Internet. I sold that site back in 2002, because I was ready to move on to the next journey in my life…..parenting. Parenting has forever changed me. It opened up my heart, taught me compassion, taught me how to not be judgemental and I’m a mom with a huge passion for my son.
Still though, I needed to do something for myself. The mommy and me groups and play dates were just not enough for my brain. The quest for something to do with myself evolved into designing websites, SEO, marketing, building e-commerce applications and now, some blog design.
My career allows me to be flexible. I volunteer for school functions and am very involved in the town’s football program. With one child I feel as though I get one shot at parenthood and I don’t want to miss a thing. I don’t want to fuck it up!
In college for fashion, a professor once said:
“Fashion is not revolutionary, it’s evolutionary”.
I believe this is true for life in general. My life has evolved in so many ways, the journey is perpetual….and I do wish I had more hands!
Join me in the evolution…..

So I stumbled across your site (don’t ask me from where) and I read a few of your posts, laughing out loud to a few of them. I even read a couple of them to my 12 year old daughter and she came to the same conclusion as I – we are so much alike with our dry wit. My blog has not reached the level of yours but I hope it will some day…so here is to us 46 year old moms!
