A Side of Brioschi, Please
I don’t like HAVING to cook, but I do enjoy cooking. (Hope that statement makes sense to you). With the weekdays being so crazy in this household, it’s not often that my family actually gets a home cooked meal.
I do make it a point to actually prepare a real honest to goodness home cooked dinner during the weekend. After all, man and woman should not live on pizza, Boston Market and Chinese food alone.
A funny side note that I will never live down: When my son was younger, if you asked him what he wanted for dinner, he would run to the proverbial “junk drawer” and pick out a menu. He’s out grown that, but only because he knows the menus by heart now.
And on another side note, if you are looking to entertain your child for a good 20 minutes, head to the Domino’s website. You can order a personalized pizza on their website and then watch the progression of it online. The order taking, the prepping, the cooking an the delivery. (Couldn’t this somewhat be considered home cooking?) Order it together and it also qualifies as a family activity.
Tonight my husband made dinner….just because. Pepper steak over rice. Nice try. Lovely, lovely intentions. The kitchen is only partially a wreck. But pass me the Brioschi, because the man really should not cook anything besides pancakes and grilled hot dogs (preferably not in the same meal).
My son and I didn’t want to hurt his feelings. We told him it was yummy (and then sneaked off to drink that Brioschi)
On to the work week! Monday night is pizza night.

Blast from the past!! Brioschi? I can remember my parents and grandparents keeping that blue bottle on their kitchen counters. Funny to see that it’s still around!
Be glad your husband at least tries to cook. Mine, doesn’t know where the pots are
